Sophie Short Film

In the fall of 2023, I had the opportunity to edit Sophie for my advanced editing class at Emerson College. Over three and a half months, I put everything I had into this project, carefully following continuity rules, perfecting transitions, and shaping the film’s rhythm.

I played with black-and-white to color transitions to heighten emotion and contrast, and from dozens of shots and angles, I selected each one based on what felt right for the pacing and story. Sophie was one of the most rewarding projects I’ve worked on, allowing me to combine technique, storytelling, and attention to detail in a way that felt deeply personal.
