Dune Self-Edit PART 1/2

After watching Dune: Part Two in theaters, I was blown away by its scale and storytelling. The next day, I wondered what it would look like if I placed myself inside the film. What started as a small experiment quickly became one of the most ambitious projects I’ve ever taken on. This took over two weeks of filming and six weeks of editing, color correcting, compositing, and fine-tuning.

This project was shot, lit, and directed entirely by me. In post, I not only edited myself seamlessly into key scenes using After Effects and iMovie, but also performed audio correction by removing Timothée Chalamet’s original voice and replacing it with my own voice to fully inhabit the role.

It was a massive technical and creative challenge, but also one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever completed.
